Boots Haul: Points Event

If you saw my latest wish list post you’ll know that last Thursday I was going to the Boots Points event! I didn’t get everything on the list but I still managed to spend £150. This haul is only going to include some of what I bought as the rest are Christmas presents.

I just want to apologise for the quality of my photos, I am getting a new camera for Christmas off my boyfriend, but for now we’ll have to put up with these as the lighting is awful all day every day! Boo Winter.

Batiste Dry Styling XXL Plumping Powder

In all honesty, I’m not sure why I picked this up. I am a huge fan of Batiste’s dry shampoo so I thought I’d try this. I’m a bit wary of using it though, someone comment below and let me know if you’ve used it & how it went!?

Smashbox Try It Kit – Halo + BB

I haven’t tried any Smashbox products but had decided I wanted to! The woman kindly matched me to the set in the shade Light and I happily handed over £25 for it. I am really looking forward to trying this, it includes a BB cream, a face powder and primer sample.

Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick

I was really clever and ended up buying two of these in the same shade, grr! They were all mixed up and I didn’t double check them. It bought the shade 470 Glam Plum Fulham and I love it already! These lipsticks are my favourite drugstore lipsticks (reviewed here), so I had to try out at least one of their new shades! I am hoping to run a giveaway soon, so this will definitely be included!

Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick

I swatched the shade 107 a couple of weeks ago and loved it. I have just realised it is almost identical to the Moisture Renew one, ooops! I am becoming a dark coloured lipstick hoarder so I’ll just add this to the collection, ha! I haven’t tried any Kate Moss lipsticks yet, so I’m looking forward to giving this a whirl.

Barry M Matte Nail Paint

A lot of people absolutely love Barry M, sadly I’m not one of them. However, I had seen a few pictures on Instagram of their matte nail paints and knew I had to have one. I picked up the shade 341 Crush and I love it already!

Essie Top Coat

I believe the Luxeffects collection was originally released in 2011, but they have re released it this year with a few new shades! I really wanted to get my hands on After School Boy Blazer but it seems nowhere has this now! I wish I’d picked it up the other week when I saw it, grrr. Anyway, I spotted Stroke of Brilliance and decided I wasn’t going to leave it behind. I’ll definitely be doing a post on this so keep your eye out!

Collection Work The Colour Eyeshadow Pencil

I won all of these in a competition with Superdrug not long after their release and reviewed them here. I was using this one in the shade Midnight Glam to do my sisters Halloween make-up and decided to repurchase it so I didn’t run out!

Barry M Nail Corrector Pen

I am useless at doing my nails and when I saw this whilst picking up the matte nail polish, I decided I’d give it a go and hope it would be able to get rid of my mistakes! Fingers crossed.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo

I have arrived to this party extremely late, but I finally decided to pick up one to try! I chose On and On Bronze as I felt it would suit me and I’d be able to wear it a lot. I have used this every day since Thursday and I love it! I’ll be going back to get the rest, as well as some of the Bourjois ones as I’ve heard they’re great too.

I wish I could show you everything else I bought but if my mum decides to have a look at my blog, like she sometimes does she’ll know exactly what I’ve got her! Apparently there is going to be another points event and I was given a voucher so I’ll get £17 worth of points when I spend £50 if I go to that one. Let’s face it I’ll be there!

Did you go a little crazy at one of Boots points events? I want to know what you’ve bought!

  1. I wish I could’ve splashed out during the points event! You got some great things and the rimmel moisture renew lipsticks are soo good, I really want to try glam plum Fulham as apparently it’s a gorgeous red-purple colour! And the Barry m matte varnishes sound good too; they’re my favourite nail varnish brand so I definitely want to try out their new matte ones!

  2. Ive tried the Batiste dry styling powder. Only used it once and it was ok. Have you ever tried treseme plumping powder cause its quite like that. If you put it on your roots it just gives it a matte feel so you can plump it up and add volume. worth a try 🙂 love the post btw xx
