Lifestyle | Graduating & Growing Up

I can’t remember the last time I sat and typed without it being about a specific event or product. But I feel as if I need to update you all on what’s been going on with me. If you aren’t interested, feel free to click off now!

I’m no longer the Student blogger who spends all of her Student loan on make-up, clothes and eating out almost every day of the week. Around 4 weeks a go I found out I’ll be graduating in November with a 1st class honours degree in Marketing. Why Chester make us wait until then, I don’t know. But, I couldn’t believe it!

Around this time, I’d been attending interviews and an assessment centre & a couple of days after finding out I’d got a 1st, I was offered two jobs. One part time not far from where I live, and the other a full time post working in Manchester in Digital Marketing. I never thought I’d be in the situation where two companies wanted me, I still had two more interviews lined up! So I accepted the full time role in Manchester and handed my notice in at Greggs.

I’ve worked at Greggs for 5 years, after completing my GCSE’s. As sad as it seems it’s become a huge part of my life, supporting me financially through my A-levels AND University. My last shift is tomorrow and I’m not sure it will hit me that I’ll never work behind that counter again, until I walk out at 4pm.

I have two weeks ‘holiday’ as I don’t start my new job until the 18th. I now have a car (after not driving since I passed 3 and a half years a go) so I’ll probably spend those two weeks trying to get used to being behind the wheel, it’s a scary thought.

The main reason for this blog post is to let you all know that things might change around here. I tend to blog 3/4 times a week and due to working full time it may change. I’ll still be here though, as well as on a Twitter and Instagram.

What have you been up to lately?
