Beauty | Lush Damaged Hot Oil Treatment

IMG_2493

I’ve found a product I can call a ‘holy grail’ product, and surprisingly for someone who neglects their hair, it’s a hair treatment. On my last Lush shop I was intrigued by the new hot oil treatments, so picked up Damaged as it described my hair perfectly.

I kept this in my stash for a few weeks until I got the chance to give it a go on Sunday evening. It says you’ll need a bowl for this, so I went with a microwavable bowl I sometimes have my lunch in. This was perfect and allowed me to pour over the boiling water and stir until a paste was created. Scent-wise I didn’t find this particularly pleasant, but it wasn’t offensive either. When it comes to things like this I don’t focus too much on the scent, as long as it isn’t too off putting whilst on the hair!

I then slapped this all over my hair and jumped in the bath. It says to leave this on for 20 minutes, which I left it a little longer. Whilst rinsing I did struggle to get all of the product out, but I’m 90% sure it was because there were a couple of lumps where the oil hadn’t fully melted.

I left my hair to air dry (basically went to bed ready to see the results in the morning) and was so impressed with how it left my hair. It felt amazing considering it usually feels like straw and I had loads of comments on how much brighter my ombre looked. Even my boyfriend commented that my hair looked lighter!

It’s definitely a product I’ll be slipping into my routine, and for £6.50 I will happily give my hair a boost once a month with it. They do have a couple of others but I think this is 100% suited to my hair. Love it!
