Can we all just take a minute to stop and admire this palette? Did I need it? Probably not. Did I want it? Yes. Could I pass up the opportunity to get my hands on it when Debenhams Beauty offered to send me some bits? NO I COULD NOT.
I have the Naked 2 and 3 palettes and I get a fair bit of use out of them both. I’m not someone who wears eyeshadow on a daily basis, my eyes are lucky if they see eyeliner before I leave for the office. But over the past few months I’ve been experimenting with eyeshadow and wearing it over the weekend, where I just used to wear it on nights out.
The Urban Decay Naked Smoky Palette* is £38 like the other palettes, I know a lot of people will see this as a huge investment for some eyeshadow, but they are worth it. Especially if you, like me have a birthday coming up and are looking for things to ask for.
Both the packaging and shades of this palette are my favourite of the 4 (I don’t have the Naked 1 palette as I HATE velvet). The shades are a dream with bronzes, greys, taupe, browns and black, all of which are super versatile. There are a number of matte shades, metallics, sparkle, shimmer and glitter. All words that make me so excited to do my make-up.
I’d recommend this 100% even if you are (like me) a bit clueless when it comes to eyeshadow. It’s the perfect palette for creating a smoky eye and just looking at the shades above, there are so many combinations to suit any eye colour. I’ve found with the past palettes that some of the shades aren’t suited to my eye colour etc, but I think this could be used by everyone.
Basically, this is well worth the £38 and if you haven’t already got this, go and get it. Now. Go on.
