I go through phases when it comes to buying new beauty products and recently I’ve had a bit of a splurge and time to test out some new bits and pieces. I love finding new products that slip into my daily make-up bag and I equally love reading these kind of posts to find new things to try.
The first product is from Stila and I have been using it before I apply my foundation. It is the Stila Stay All Day 10-in-1 HD Beauty Balm and I have fallen head over heels in love with it! It evens out my skin tone and my foundation applies like a dream. I really want to try the illuminating version next… roll on pay day.
The two foundations Estee Lauder Double Wear and L’Oreal Infallible Matte have become firm favourites. Whilst I find Double Wear to be too full coverage, I’ve been using the L’Oreal one on a day to day basis and then mixing the two when I want more coverage. I’ve repurchased L’Oreal Infallible Matte three times since first trying it so if definitely has my seal of approval!
I have been trying to get into contouring as I’m clueless so I bought the Clinique Chubby Stick Sculpting Contour after it was recommended to me. I’m not a huge cream product fan but I love this, it’s so easy to apply and blend, it’s a dream to use. I’d recommend this to anyone who isn’t very confident with contouring, although it probably is a little pricey.
Following the contour theme I decided to pick up the Makeup Revolution Ulta Contour Palette from Superdrug. This was only £8 and I’ve found the shades in this to be perfect for my skin tone. I don’t think it’s as easy to blend as the Clinique one but I’ve been alternating between the two and loving it. I’ve also been enjoying the baked highlighters that are included in the palette.
I’m always interested in trying new brow products and I’ve been loving the Shade and Shadow brush from Lottie London. I was lucky enough to receive this in the March Lookfantastic Beauty Box and I’ve been using it to apply the Maybelline Master Brow Pro Palette. I used to use Benefit Browzings but I’ve found this works just as well for a fraction of the price – winner.
For lips the new favourites are from Stila and MAC. I’ve lusted after the Stila Stay All Day Liquid lipsticks for a while so when I managed to get my hands on Aria I was made up. Both the colour and the formula of this are my all time favourite and I have a huge list of shades that I want to add my to collection.
The MAC lipstick is MAC Stone which I bought after seeing it on a friend. It’s a gorgeous brown lip colour that I’ve been obsessed with! I’ve had so many compliments, I’d definitely recommend going for a swatch if you are looking for a brown lip.
