L-R Twig – Stone – Cyber – Rebel – Heroine – Party Parrot – Morange – Lady Danger – Russian Red – Diva

Since starting my blog I’ve slowly grown my MAC lipstick collection to around 30 lipsticks. There are so many shades on offer it can be quite over whelming when it comes to wanting the perfect evening red or a nude that will be perfect for work. I thought I’d pull together my favourites that should help cover all basis.

Reds/Oranges/Pinks

Diva, Russian Red and Lady Danger are my three favourite reds (although Ruby Woo is up there!). Diva is the perfect deep red and Russian Red is the perfect evening lip shade. Lady Danger is probably my favourite as it has an orange undertone to it and is perfect for Spring.

Morange is the only orange lipstick I’d buy from MAC. I have Vegas Volt but much prefer how bright Morange is. Whilst I don’t wear this often, it’s perfect for the Summer and one I love taking on holiday!

I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of pink lipstick so I only have Party Parrot in my collection. I love it of when I’m feeling a little adventurous, especially as this is so bright. I know other people love All Fired Up and Candy Yum Yum too if you are looking for a slightly different shade.

Purples/Plums

These shades make up the largest part of my collection as I adore a purple lip all year round. My top choices are Heroine, Rebel and Cyber. Heroine is a firm favourite and instantly recognisable! It’s the perfect bright purple shade that I’d recommend to anyone. It looks a bit scary but I think most people could pull this one off!

Rebel is a blogger favourite and definitely has more more pink undertones than purple. It isn’t as scary as other shades so definitely worth having in your collection.

Cyber is probably the most used lipstick in my collection and I’d recommend it to anyone who loves a really dark lip.

Nudes/Browns

As with a pink lip, I’ve never been a huge fan of nude lip colours. However, I’d been lusting after Twig for ages and so glad I have it in my collection. It is the perfect lipstick for me when I don’t fancy a bold lip or want to do more with my eye make-up instead.

Brown lipstick is something I never thought I’d be on board with ,but after seeing one of my friends with Stone on their lips I fell in love. I had a gift card from my Birthday and knew I needed it in my life. I’ve worn it loads recently and received so many compliments. It’s definitely the perfect shade if you are looking for a brown lip!

Whilst I definitely don’t need any more MAC lipsticks, I’d love your suggestions. I may need to treat myself…
