I am writing this from my sofa in my pyjamas after a day of relaxation at The Club & Spa not far from Chester City Centre. Having driven past the Doubletree by Hilton more times that I can count, it wasn’t until I was searching for a spa on Twitter that The Club & Spa (which is at the Doubletree by Hilton) was recommended to me.

Deciding it was much needed after a busy few months at work we booked in on a Monday as we thought it would be quiet and could take advantage of a long weekend. The package we went for was £99 and included a treatment, lunch and full use of the facilities and I’d 100% recommend it if you are local to the area.

We arrived around 10am and was greeted by reception, given a run down of the day, handed our slippers, robes and towels and led to the changing rooms. We were then left to our own devices until our treatment at 11:30am. After getting changed we took full advantage of the pool area facilities and spent a lot of time moving between the different types of steam rooms/saunas.

We headed up to the spa around 10 minutes before our treatment as advised and sat in their relaxing reception area until we were called through separately. We both decided to go for the full body massage and absolutely loved it! Once your treatment is finished you are taken to the relaxation room which was a sensory delight. Zara came out with a slip which recommended further treatments based on the massage which I thought was really helpful – sadly I didn’t get one but I think it depended on who did your treatment.

After a quick change into a different bikini we headed up onto the terrace for lunch. The menu consisted of salad or a few different sandwiches. I settled for the ham and cheese toasted sandwich and we both sat outside and enjoyed.

We took ourselves back to the pool area to let our food digest, relax and swim. We called it a day around 2:30pm feeling super relaxed and I’m already looking to book in again soon…

*I was given a discount in exchange for a review, all thoughts are my own, as always
