I very rarely talk beauty over here (unless you count my monthly beauty box reviews) as I never know where to start. I mean just how many reviews of a new palette do we need to see? Having said that I have recently found a combination of products that I’m content with. For anyone who knows me, I’m partial to a new beauty product but I much prefer a lipstick as you can instantly transform a look with a bold shade. Foundations, moisturisers, primers etc. have always bored me some what… especially as I’ve never found ones that make me go ‘I need to talk about this’… until now.
I had tried NARS Sheer Glow in the past but I discovered other foundations and sort of forgot about it. Recently I ran out of my other foundation favourite, Estee Lauder Double Wear and was using up a L’Oreal one I found in my stash. When payday came around I decided I wanted to rekindle my love for Sheer Glow so treated myself to it as well as the Radiant Creamy Concealer which I hadn’t tried before. I haven’t worn concealer for years and whilst I was bragging about this with work colleagues my skin decided it was pay back time and I woke up the following day needing to conceal everything.
I’ve been applying both products (foundation before concealer) with a Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge after I have let the Illamasqua Hydra Veil Primer sink into my skin. I was lucky enough to receive this product a few months a go at an event and after a few weeks using it I shelved it until recently. It leaves my skin feeling so soft and allows the foundation to sit on top really nicely.
I don’t usually use a setting spray and it hasn’t been a problem for this combination as it seems to stick around all day. I’ve had a good few compliments too which makes me feel as if it must look kinda nice?
I’ve never tried sheer glow as I heard its not great for dry skin. Other than that I only read good things so I’m kind of intregued to try it!
