I’ve been watching Disney vlogs for years and have seen a lot of people doing the challenge of visiting all four parks in one day. We hadn’t planned on doing this when we visited last month, but we moved some plans around and found ourselves with a free day in our second week, so decided to give it a go.
I know there are different variations of things to do in each park when you visit all of them in one day, but we decided on the following:
- Buy a snack
- Jump on a ride
- Take a snap with a photo pass photographer
- One pressed penny (we’d been doing these throughout the trip, something that I don’t think is hugely popular, but we really enjoyed it!)
We cheated a little bit, as we’d been for the DVC meeting that morning (so wish I could justify joining it right now!). This meant that we got 3 anytime fast passes, so we didn’t have to waste much time in queues for rides.
Hollywood Studios
We decided to start at Hollywood Studios, so got the shuttle bus from our hotel and arrived about 10am. We headed straight for photo pass photographer at the entrance and I love the photos he got!
I fell in love with Hollywood Studios this trip so was happy for this to be our first stop, especially as the sun was shining! We rode my favourite ride, Tower of Terror and stopped at Starbucks for a Strawberry Acai cooler and a pain au chocolat! I think a lot of people dismiss HS, I mean it’s definitely not a full day park at the moment, but I love the vibe and it has some bloody good rides.
Animal Kingdom
Next we visited my least favourite park, Animal Kingdom. We got there by taking the shuttle bus from Hollywood Studios. I think it’s my least favourite park simply due to how busy it is now Pandora is open. We queued for ages to get some lunch at Yak and Yeti and it was an ordeal to find somewhere to sit. Luckily, it was worth the wait as the food was great, a perfect use of snack and quick service credits!
For our photo pass we decided to take one in front of the Tree of Life before we headed onto Expedition Everest. The wait time was like 90 minutes, so thank God for those DVC fast passes!
Epcot
Another shuttle bus and we were at Epcot, on our way to being 3/4 of the way done! We got our only photo pass photo of the trip in front of the ball, grabbed our favourite drink (frozen coke!) and headed over to ride Soarin’. Festival of the Arts was on, so there was some really cool Disney street art around so we enjoyed that and then headed over to the last park of the challenge.
Magic Kingdom
We saved the best till last and got the monorail from Epcot to Magic Kingdom. There is no better feeling than walking down Main Street and seeing the castle. We rode Small World because we hadn’t done it during the trip and you just can’t not do Small World! We got pictures in front of the castle and sampled the Cheshire Cat tail. Considering it’s just a chocolate pastry covered in pink and purple icing, it’s bloody lovely! We were trying to use our snack credits up as it was getting towards the end of our trip, but the nicest cast member gave us them for free as it was my birthday trip – what a gem! We also watched the show at the castle as we were there around 3:30pm, which was great as we hadn’t managed to catch it yet.
This was one of my favourite days of the trip and we even had time to nip to Universal Studios for the last time so pick up some chocolate frogs and jump on a couple of rides.
I’d love to know if you’ve done all 4 parks in 1 day, or if you are planning to on your next trip!
