Exploring Soho

#AD The spending money was gifted by Hotels.com but all views are my own

Since moving to London at the end of last year I’ve loved exploring the city. You have the tourist spots, the places you stumble across and some of the best places I’ve been to have been recommendations from colleagues.

When Hotels.com got in touch to collaborate on showcasing my favourite things in Soho it was right up my street. There are so many amazing hotels in/around Soho so check them out, get it booked and enjoy one of my favourite areas of London (thank me later!).

Visit House of Minalima

This is a must visit for Harry Potter fans and somewhere I loved having a wander around. Created originally as a pop up it’s become a permanent fixture on Soho’s Greek Street. It’s a free exhibition split across a number of floors and it’s so so magical.

There are some of the most amazing prints to buy and the staff there are super knowledgable about all things HP. From insider info on how involved J. K. Rowling was in the films to hints on what’s to come!

Don’t even start me on the gift shop. I need a money tree because I could quite literally buy it all for my new flat! A must do in my opinion!

Go and See A Show

In the last year I’ve fully taken advantage of having the most amazing shows on my door step. I don’t think any day in Soho is complete without booking tickets and experiencing it for yourself.

I saw Heathers not long ago and it literally blew me away! There is just something special about seeing a great show in one of the beautiful, historic theatres around the area.

Browse The Record Stores

This isn’t one for everyone, but since I bought my boyfriend a record player we’ve found ourselves drawn to these shops. Berwick Road is a great location to get lost in these stores. There is one vinyl in particular we’re trying to track down which is proving impossible, but part of me is glad we haven’t found it yet as I love getting lost in these stores. I very much wish I’d picked up that Taylor Swift one (no judgement please!).

Eat at Patty & Bun

I got carried away in Patty & Bun eating the most perfect chicken burger that I may or may not have forgotten to take any more pictures! Soho is home to some amazing places to eat, but I’m always drawn to burger places.

One of my friends recommended this place and I love her for it! One of the best meals I’ve had in a while, and somewhere I’d 100% recommend if you visit.

Must-have Ice Cream at Gelupo

Next up is Gelupo which was recommended to me by my manager. This place is AMAZING. Not only in the interior super Instagramable (don’t pretend that isn’t important), the ice cream is some of the best I’ve tasted in London. It’s all made downstairs in the shop and the flavours vary based on what ingredients they get their hands on.

This huuuuge cone was honeycomb and was by far my favourite honeycomb ice cream (and I’ve tried my fair share!). It was £4 a cone but if you ask to taste a flavour first, they’ll let you. You definitely don’t need to do that though, I doubt you’ll be disappointed!

Enjoy Carnaby Street

No day out for me is complete without a bit of shopping and one of my favourite places is Carnaby Street. This is where you’ll find loads of different stores but some of my favourites are Spectrum, Skinny Dip and Monki.

I love that at various times of the year Carnaby Street is decorated to celebrate different events. If you visit at the minute, you’ll see the above which is an amazing tribute to the new Bohemian Rhapsody film.

There are also some amazing places to eat at Kingly Court, just off Carnaby Street which I’d 100% recommend. I’m dying to try Dishoom but I love love love Pizza Pilgrims, too!
