Using the Fast Pass system at Disneyland Paris

This should be a fairly short but sweet post but I’ve had a lot of questions about fast passes and how they work at Disneyland Paris so thought this may be helpful.

Who is entitled to them?

Anyone with a valid park ticket is entitled to take advantage of the fast pass service.

How many can I get per day?

There isn’t any limit as far as I’m aware as long as they are available in the parks. On busy days you might struggle to get a fast pass in the parks for the big rides such as Big Thunder Mountain so I always prioritise getting them fairly early on.

Can I have more than one at once?

You can only have one at a time but if you are savvy you can scan for another whilst you are holding onto one.

In most instances you’ll find you can scan for another after the start time of your currently one, i.e if your fast pass is valid 12:50 to 13:20 you won’t be able to get another until 12:50. However, if you have a longer wait for your fast pass you can usually scan for another on a different ride around an hour before you are due to ride your previous one. I believe they say two hours after you pick it up but I have found it varies so suggest just keeping your eyes peeled!

Can I get them in advance (like at Disney World)?

No, they are all on the day fast passes. I believe this is the same as Disneyland in California.

How do I get a fast pass?

It couldn’t be easier in my option (unless they were booked on the app I suppose) but you simply walk up to the ride. Rides with fast pass available have kiosk located next to them and will display the times available for the fast passes they will give you. Once these have all ran out they tend to cover up the machines and have — on the screens so you can easily see the service isn’t available.

Which rides have fast pass?

It’s a decent amount in my opinion and covers off all of the big ones. I would love it if they started it for Crush’ coaster but you can’t win them all

Do I have to use my fast pass?

Nope! On one of our trips last year we got a fast pass for buzz and realised we needed to leave slightly earlier. We have ours to a really nice couple who hadn’t been able to get fast passes and they were able to ride it.

I’ve heard you can pay for FASTPASS – what is the deal?

In all honestly, this isn’t something I’ve ever been interested in as I have Annual Pass and can go back if I don’t get certain things done! It’s a fairly new service but all information is here.

There are also other fast passes such as VIP which get with certain room stays but the link above will tell you everything you need to know.
